When you fail the activation there will be a option for Manual Activate. Go to this website Then follow the advice in step 2 How to manually activate your game. It just keeps going back to "Start download" option, and never makes it to the part where I would enter a serial number. How do I bail out of downloading autopatcher without it quiting the install. My proxy settings, once entered, don't make a difference. Sorry I though you could not authenticate the CD-key not the autopatcher. hi if you are finished the instalation dont click for finish bouton ( if click in all the game files be removed ) now you go in c:\programe files \ 2k games and move "2k game" file at my documment , now go in the instalation and click " finish " after do that move back the file " 2k game " in last position c:\programe files \ 2k games , here cant ask you for patch or anything and you have now bioshock in your computer , if you are download it ?He says, "Sure, port 80, but that's it" What can I do? If the problem is with the autopatcher not authentication there is no way around this part unless network admin allows access. i try to install but everytime it gets to the auto patcher i get this turned off my firewall made sure my internet was connected but i still get this. copy the crack in 2k game \bioshock \Builds \release and enjoy the game , i think if you are original game the patch will be download it correctly and play without any probleme_____ **sorry for my bad english**_____ enjoy !!When install finishes it opens auto-patcher program which writes "Connecting attempt 1, 2, 3" and then "Can not create destination file".I've searched for solution over forum but found nothing except to convert drive C: to NTFS. Everything is ok with my Internet connection, I use no proxy's, tried turning off Win XP firewall - nothing helps!!!
If you use a router can you try adding it to the port forwarding.
Portable Update is a new program that works similar to other third party update downloaders.
What sets it apart however is that it can search Microsoft's update repository for missing updates so that you can download and install those only on the PC in question.
Then, it is not really a good idea if you want to test updates or deploy them to multiple PCs in a network.
Last but not least, it is also helpful if you want to install all updates and patches to a system before you connect it to the Web.
